The following are public and national holidays officially recognized by the Kingdom of Moorland.

Public holidays

The following public holidays are mandated by the state that employers provide a paid day off. If the holiday falls on a weekend the immediate Monday after is given as a paid holiday.

1 January New Year Traditional festival welcoming in the new year.
31 October Oktoberfest Celebration of the autumn harvest and solstice
10 November Kingsday Celebration of the life of King Aelfric, first King of Nova England
25 December Day of the Birth of the Lord (Lordsmas) Nazarene holiday celebrating the winter solstice and life of Yeshua (Christmas)

National holidays

The following holidays are not mandated for paid time off but are celebrated nonetheless.

Date Observed Holiday Description
5 March - 17 April Fastentide A period of fasting (Lent) in which people abstain from meat and alcohol. Begins forty days before the Day of Resurrection, and ends with that same day.
20 April Day of Resurrection Celebrating the end of fastentide (Easter) occurs on the first day of the Lord following the equinox of month VI.
10 October Indigenous Day A celebration of Moorland's indigenous people, especially the Qeltois.
