Public holidays in Mercury are established in Mercurian law. These holidays are enshrined as days off work for the vast majority of the nation, with anyone required to work on a holiday being legally entitled to take off an alternative day of their choice. These holidays are in addition to the legally mandated five weeks of paid holiday, meaning that a total of thirty-two days of holiday are given to all full-time workers in Mercury each year.
