I believe Paroka to be perhaps the most important region of our confederacy. It was a Parokan who founded our confederacy, it was Paroka who contributed to our scientific department's beginnings, it was Paroka who began the process that eventually led to the foundation of the serene nation we now find ourselves in. Having said that, I urge all confederate citizens, and even those outside of the confederacy, to visit this region to see its splendour.
Edward ColdstoneCira: A Legacy (1675 AN)

Paroka is a constituent governorate of the Ciric Confederacy, situate in the southeastern portion of the confederacy's territory on Sypyr. It is the smallest region of the confederacy by land area, but it is still larger than Hemsford in terms of population. Paroka is also possibly the most famous region of the confederacy due to the disproportionately large number of confederate innovators that hail from the region.

Overview

Paroka's geography is dominated by its flat landscape classified over most of the region as tundra. Evergreen forests dot the landscape, and the southern portions of the region, especially near the southern mouth of the River Terminus, are covered in land-bound floes and sheets of thick ice. Paroka is located south of the River Akkar and east of the River Terminus, utilising both of these rivers currents below their frozen surfaces for travel and shipping.

Paroka is governed by Marlav Los-Tel, who has spent his whole life as a political leader, both as a representative in Paroka's lesser parliaments and in the national Confederate Parliament. He reflects Paroka's overall political focus on science, which is a large part of the reason that Paroka produces many of the nations innovators, such as Alesh Zaikir, inventor of the currency of the Union Australis, the Australisian Zaikir, and is perhaps most famous for the first Suzerain of the confederacy, Ayeza Komeshki, coming from Paroka. While the other confederate constituencies are also very focused on science and progress, other than Minh-Cong, Paroka is most known for it, and has the most prestigious scientific universities in the confederacy.
