Operation Fortify Democracy

Operation Fortify Democracy was an operation by the Sanaman Corps of Navy Marines in the United Isles, in support of the newly formed nation. The I and II Marine Expeditionary Units, totalling 3,200 troops, supported by two Rhodondra-class amphibious attack ships and two Montran-class destroyers, deployed to Florencia to provide internal and external security while the new nation constitutes itself. The III and IV Marine Expeditionary Units, with the same support, deployed to Naudia'Diva. No troops or ships were deployed to the Iridian Isles due to the well-known and extremely hostile attitude of the natives towards outsiders. The Rhodondra-class ships were in the standard configuration, carrying fighter jets, attack helicopters, as well as transport aircraft. The operation is initially expected to last for three months, but it can also be extended upon the request of the United Isles government. In total, approximately 11,000 members of the Sanaman Armed Forces are participating in the operation.
