Since 1744.9 AN, a military campaign has taken place along a frontline in the northern parts of Pentucky amid the Second Florian Civil War. It is a critical campaign in the conflict due to the strategic importance of the "Bridgeport corridor" which will determine whether the East can establish a continuous front across the south or whether the West can split the rebellion in two.

Background

Pentucky City quickly fell under Revolutionary forces not long after 1744.8 AN. Rebels from the Revolutionary Front attempt to push further into the state but in a rare moment compared to other national guards, the Pentucky national guard pushed rebels back from the south. With areas of Mesoun around Bridgeport still under federal control, rebels aimed to close off the "Bridgeport Corridor" but regular Florian military personnel were finally mobilised.

The XXVII Corps of the Florian Army was however in an unsettled condition, various regimental and brigade cantonments finding themselves isolated in a suddenly hostile countryside throughout of Outer Mesoun. Without clear instructions from the Eastern Command or Army Group East, the disordered contingents were obliged to reach out to Northcliff directly for instructions and an overview of the actual situation in its wider context.
