Nanove

Nanove is a city in the Lanzerwald. The city was built on the ruins of Safehaven, a village that gained prominence during the Uprising of Bisera when its local militia launched an attack on the railway bridge near Vulcuria. The uprising of Bisera led to a clear defeat of the Siseranist rebels and diminished the belief of the local population in the power of the Siseranist faith. Missionaries from the Ludwiggian Reformed Church reached the ruins of Safehaven in 1715 and helped the remnants of the population with rebuilding their town, and spoke frankly with them about their religion. Many inhabitants of the village came to faith and were baptised by the missionaries. When most of the population had adopted the Nazarene faith, the city council voted to change the name of the city to Nanove, a name derived from the Nazarene Holy Scripture, in which Nanove is named as a city that once lived in sin, but repented from their wicked ways and was made righteous again. After adopting the Nazarene faith, the city was invited to send a representative to the Thing of the Lanzerwald, and become a formal member city of the Realm of the Sovereign Lanzerwald. The city was adopted within the nation in the annual moot of 1716.
