Station Sagittarius is a naval port on the Benacian Isle of Naudia'Diva of the Çakar Empire. The Sagittarius Guard of the Çakari Armed Forces is stationed there. The name of the naval port comes from the Cedrist demigod of archery, Sagittarius.
History
In 1567 AN, the station appeared on the map. During the War of Lost Brothers, the Battle of Sagittarius broke out in the last weeks of 1655 AN.
By every conceivable measure, Station Sagittarius is an anomaly. An ancient Shirerithian naval base under the civil administration of the Imperial Republic, garrisoned by a legion of the Benacian Union Defence Force and situated on an island, Naudia'Diva, that, whilst under the suzerainty of the Benacian Union, had been given almost wholly over to colonial freebooters and a displaced contingent of mercenaries in the pay of the Honourable Company.
Shirerithian cantonments at the station were placed under surveillance by Salb XXXIV on V.1731 AN, at the direction of Salbnan Fiero Horjinmull. The instigation of this vigilance having been undertaken at the receipt of news that the Imperial Republic was commencing moves to close the frontier between the Benacian Union and Shireroth, a circumstance that would leave the station as even more of an anomaly than it was presently.
Through the Treaty of Lorsdam, the naval port was transferred entirely to the Benacian Union. In 1745 AN, the naval port along with the Isle of Naudia'Diva was ceded to Çakaristan.
