2023–24 Ligue Oportienne

The Ligue Oportienne is the sole professional football league in Oportia, sanctioned by FOF.

Format

Due to the constantly developing nature of Oportian football system, the formats are subject to change each season.

The inaugural season featured 9 teams which played each other in a double round-robin format.

The 2022–23 season featured 12 teams competing in a double round-robin format (regular season), after which the league was split into two divisions (Supérieure and Inférieure) and teams played each other once, with number of home and away games being determined by their regular season position.

The 2023–24 season introduced a second tier competition to the Oportian football league system, the Division 2. With 28 teams acquiring a license (out of which 16 for the first time), the league was divided into two divisions of 14 teams. Format remained almost the same - after the regular season of double round-robin, each division would split itself into two sub-divisions (Supérieure and Inférieure), where teams play each other once at home and once away.
