Kaonabo, Duke of Guánica (born 2.V.1720 AN) is the heir apparent to the principality of Boriquén and a member of the House of Guarionex. The son of Guarionex II, the 1st Prince of Boriquén, and Cacica Taiguey, he bears the title of Duke of Guánica by courtesy as the Prince's heir, and is styled The Most Excellent Lord. By his wife Higuamota he is the father of Cacica Anacaona, who in 1759 AN was betrothed to Prince Inti, second in line to the throne of Nouvelle Alexandrie. His name, from the Wakara language, is traditionally understood to mean "lord of the lake."
