Kanou Benshaminss Reapitoi Goura (born 1997) is a Krasno professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Krasnovlac Elite League club Lorat Ultras and the Krasnovlac national team. Goura became the first youth player in Krasnovlac to be named in the Krasnovlac Secondary Schools Tournament Football Team of the Season four times in a row.

Early life

Goura was born in E-Lorat in a family with two other siblings, an older brother Yawtzi, and a younger sister, Keshael. Goura's interest in football originally came from futsal where he also played in goal for his local recreational club. Goura's prowess as a football goalkeeper shone during a recreational friendly between his club and another where despite losing 4-0, he showed tremendous athletic abilities and was thus recommended to play football.

During his childhood, Goura was also a prominent golfer and partook in golfing competitions during secondary school for an outside agency.

Club career

Secondary School

Goura turned up for Egerfield Public School and instantly became a fan favourite when he helped his side qualify for the finals after saving two penalties in a shootout against local rivals Springway High School. Goura then led his side to an impressive third place finish after barely missing out in the finals. Goura was named in the Team of the Season after he kept the most clean sheets out of any goalkeeper in the tournament.

During the following season, Goura was unavailable for the preliminaries after suffering a wrist injury but managed to recover right before the round of 16. Fellow back-up goalkeeper, Tarshik Goudissons played the first leg of the tie but when the second leg went to penalties, Goura was substituted on for the shootout and made three saves to pull his side through. Goura regained his starting position as he went on to make a personal record nine saves in a heated second leg tie against Mackerfield Secondary School of Kamencha. Goura helped his side into the final where they edged out a win against Belaov Institution.

For his last two years, Goura's impressive performances did not decline as he set a new clean sheet record for the tournament's history. He was named in the Team of the Season four times in a row, becoming the first youth goalkeeper ever to do so until Yech Reich-kyrt a few years later.

Decline

Despite being highly rated as one for the future, Goura's involvement in football rapidly declined as failed trials at Lorat Ultras and Noksvuola City prevented him from securing a professional contract. Goura had not made any moves in the football scene until he signed on for non-league club Folkslore United. However, throughout his 12 appearances for the club, he failed to register a single clean sheet and conceded 23 goals. Goura was subsequently released shortly after.

After getting released from Folkslore United, Goura managed to pass a trial with Brikaslav United but did not make his first appearance until midway through his first season against Qiu Ban FC. Goura's prowess in saving penalties was on show again as he parried Davi Robostis' penalty in the last minute of the game to secure a win for his side. However, he didn't make another appearance until the last three games of the season.

2016-17 season

Goura established his spot as the number one in goal after an impressive pre-season.

Lorat Ultras

In 2017, Goura moved to Lorat Ultras in a deal that saw him loaned back to his former club for two seasons. He played two full league seasons for Brikaslav United, recording a toal of 27 clean sheets across 60 league games. Despite this, Goura's performance was heavily looked at as he was hyped up to join his new parent club.

In the 2022 Krasno Shield, Goura saved an Ethans Lorde penalty in a 3-2 defeat to Belaov Treble.

Personal life

Goura was also a prominent golfer, playing in youth competitions for Lorat Golf before he focused on football full time.
