Kafiristan
Kafiristan is a geographical name for the northern reaches of Béthencourt. Kafiristan has border with Karnamark and borders the Sunset Sea (now the Orton Sea). Kafiristan is generally relatively oceanic in influence and has a habitable location due to its relatively harsh terrain. The Kafiristan Lordship takes its name from this region.
Kafiristan was historically significantly affected by Durntkinstani raids and existed as a habitable region within Durntkinstan (see Mistletoe Forest). The region was significantly affected by Iridian and Norman raids in the south, as well as the Durntkinstan-Passas War of the period. The region eventually fell under the Storish yoke and remained within the Normandie Jarldom until 1685 AN. After 1685 AN, the region came under the Hexarchy and formed part of the autonomous district of Lysstyrer. In early 1743, the region came under the control of the Norman Revolt Army and remains a part of Normandy to this day.
Kafiristan is known for its unique culture and religion. Approximately seventy thousand Durntkinstani live in the region. The Durntkinstani practice the Voystra religion, and according to the Normandy Historical Society, the origin of the religion remains controversial. Due to their culture, Kafiristan has been the scene of numerous raids and raids, resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths. Despite all this, Kafiristan remains one of the most habitable regions in the region, with its pine forests, rivers fed by snow water, natural beauty, and religious beliefs.
