Jack Smith is a Walker footballer who currently plays for FK Tiga. Although he was born in Dyas in Senya, Jack Smith plays internationally for the Walker Democracy, the country from which his parents originate. In 2012, aged 16, Smith joined FK Tiga on a year contract. He is considered a member of Senya's golden generation.

History

Childhood

Smith was born in early 1996 in Dyas to Martin & Lucy Smith, two Walker immigrants who had settled in Senya. Jack started playing football at the age of 6, for a local junior team known as Brown Bears. During this time, he played in goal, despite Smith hating the position. At the age of 8, he and his family moved to Tiga, where he joined a new team called Roztas, where he became a striker. He was considered a promising talent, however he was subject to abuse from the other players about his Walker background. In September 2006, aged 10, Smith was abducted walking home from school. He was held hostage by an armed drug group in Shireroth for 15 days, before being rescued by Shirerithian police. After this, Jack and his family moved to Walker, and Smith became fascinated by his heritage. He returned to Tiga in 2009 aged 13, and went to school for the first time in 3 years. He struggled to make friends, and his footballing ability deteriorated. In January 2010, Smith attempted to commit suicide by jumping in front of a car outside of his house, but he only received minor bruises. He was taken out of school after this, and started to become a recluse. In May 2012, Jack was finally convinced to visit a Youth Centre for under-18s who had troubled lives, and they re-introduced him to football. On June 16, Jack was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

FK Tiga

In June 2012, Jack overheard two men talking about trials for a Senyan Professional League team that were coming up, and surprised everybody by applying for them. He was bullied by fellow applicants, but during a selection game, he shone up front, and people began to notice his talent. He was offered a professional contract by FK Tiga that day, which he agreed to later that week. In his first season of competitive football, Smith guided FK Tiga to a second place finish in the league, scoring 27 goals along the way and finishing as the league's top scorer. Internationally, he helped the Walker Democracy to a fouth-placed finish in Walker Democracy's group in the 2013 World Cup qualifiers, before the nation was dissolved. As a result, Smith became eligable to play for his birth nation of Senya.
In the summer of 2013, Smith rejected being called up to the Senyan national team for the 2013 Copa Apollonia and began an internal fight with members of staff and players at FK Tiga. After being sent off in a match against Urzi Magalatska after fighting team-mate Mart Pëterz after Pëterz had given away an easy penalty, on the pitch, Smith left the stadium during half-time, and flew out to Craitland. FK Tiga were soon met by offers from both Eĵars Town and Zekäbelóman Kahthajtensen, accepting the former's offer. Just eight hours after the final whistle in the Urzi-Tiga match, Smith had left the club.

Eĵars Town

Smith joined Eĵars Town on 28 September 2013 for a fee of Cr 3 million. Following three successful seasons at the League 1 club, Smith agreed to answer a call up to the Senyan national team, having previously refused to do so due to personal issues.

Hobbies

Jack is obsessed with football and the Walker Democracy. He loves both of them, and in July 2012 stated in an interview with Senya TV "I'd love to play for Walker Democracy. That is my dream. Too much in my life has gone wrong here in Senya, and I feel more at home in Walker".
