A series of barriers built from 1669 AN–1670 AN in Aqaba Province and Nivardom Province and extended into Mitra Province and Varaz Province after 1670 AN. Built from rammed earth with corvée labour, the walls and ramparts served as retaining walls for moisture gardens, barriers against encroaching desertification zones, and as obstacles to unregulated cross-border traffic. Used to demarcate border security zones.
