The Honour Cross was established by HRM King August Charles II in 2004. The medal is awarded to recognize a Gotzer's honourable service to the Crown and Kingdom. It is the highest Honourable Service Medal awarded within the Kingdom and the highest decoration or medal that may be awarded to a civilian.
There are two classes: one for members of the Royal Army and the Royal Navy, and one for civilians. In the order of precedence, the Military Class outranks the Civilian Class in recognition of the prominent role that military service played in Gotzborg.
