The Gran Verionian by-election of 1684 was an election held in Gran Verionia to determine the members of the Cámara de Representantes for the five new states added following the second Northern Expansion of Alboradames 1684. The states of Aracataca and Granada, that had voted in the general election of 1683 went to the polls again because their size and population had drastically increased following the expansion. The by-election increased the number of seats of the Cámara de Representates with 177 to 598. In addition, elections for the local legislatures were held in the new states.
The election was a great success for Cambio Democratico, which was the largest winner of the day and the largest party in five out of seven states. The Partido de Quscu, an indigenous party, won the state of Cuzcatán and the Partido Unionista was the largest party in Zacatecoluca.
