Fortress Oportia
Fortress Oportia was a comprehensive national defense contingency plan activated by the National Salvation Council on 13.XIV.1744 AN[1] in response to escalating regional tensions following the Mehrshahr Meltdown and mounting military pressure from the Committee of Euran Salvation. The plan represented the most extensive mobilization in Oportia's history, implementing total martial law protocols nationwide to ensure a sustained resistance against foreign invasion. Key components included the emergency recall of all Oportian naval vessels from foreign ports, the evacuation of classified state archives to secure underground facilities at Naval Base Montségur, the establishment of a nationwide food rationing system under Department of Public Information supervision, and the creation of the People's Defense Militia of Oportia to supplement regular military forces. The plan also involved the commandeering of all private broadcasting infrastructure and the forced evacuation of foreign personnel, effectively isolating Oportia from international oversight while preparing for prolonged siege conditions.
