Federal Library of Nouvelle Alexandrie
The Federal Library of Nouvelle Alexandrie (Alexandrian: Bibliothèque Fédérale de Nouvelle Alexandrie; Martino: Biblioteca Federal de Nouvelle Alexandrie; Wechua: Hatun Qillqakuna Wasi) is the national library of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie and serves as the country's primary repository for published materials, historical documents, and cultural heritage records.
Established in 1687 AN through the Federal Library Act, 1687, the institution operates under the Department of Education, Sports, and Culture and maintains its headquarters in a purpose-built complex in Cárdenas, with 127 branch libraries and reading rooms across all twelve Regions of the Federation. The library serves as the legal deposit repository for all materials published in Nouvelle Alexandrie, houses the national archives of the Federation government, and maintains specialized collections including the Wechua Codex Collection, the Alexandrian Imperial Archives, and the world's most comprehensive collection of materials related to Alexandrium research and applications. With over 184 million items in its collections, including 67 million books and bound volumes, 21 million manuscripts, 15 million photographs, and extensive digital archives, the Federal Library ranks among the largest library systems in Micras and employs over 12,400 staff members with an annual budget of NAX€890 million.
The institution provides free public access to its general collections while maintaining specialized research facilities that serve scholars, government officials, and international researchers, and its digital initiatives have made over 45 million items available online through the Federal Digital Library portal, supporting educational and research activities throughout the Federation and beyond.
