ExpresoReg

Transporte Exprés Regional (Alexandrian for 'regional express transport'), also known as ExpresoReg or as Apumuy Illaqta Utqay in Wechua, is the brand name used by Nouvelle Alexandrie Railways to denote rail service run by the Regional governments of Nouvelle Alexandrie, in particular their regionally organised transport authorities. The network serves across all New Alexandrien regions; but Alduria, Wechua Nation, and the Federal Capital District also have a separate railway operator. Every day, the network services over 1.4 million passengers, using mostly a mix of TR E-D160-Rs and E-D140-R-s. On the network, both branding and indicators are coloured in blue.
ExpresoReg is a part of NAR Pasajeros, which also operates Interurbanos and Alte Velocidad services. For the purpose of internal administration, NAR separates ExpresoReg services into three categories: peri-urban ("Ciudad"), inter-city links ("Enlace") and rural services ("Campaña"). Most of the ExpresoReg services operate on a Clock-face scheduling of at least 4 tph, with as much as 6 to 8 tph during peak times - in Punta Santiago, frequency is 6 tph, with 10 tph during peak times. During weekends, most operate on 2 tph, except those in Potosí, Punta Santiago, and Parap, which continue to operate at 4 tph.
Overview
With the founding of NAR in 1686 AN, there was a clear need to centralise the organisation of previously regionally managed passenger services. With the success of the New Prosperity Plan and the vast expansion of Nouvelle Alexandrie's railway network, NAR officially began offering ExpresoReg services in 1698 AN, initially in only three regions: Napoléon in Alduria (focusing on Punta Santiago and Narbonne); País Real in Santander (focusing on Potosí); and Kuntisuyu in Wechua Nation (focusing on Parap). Since then, the services have expanded to cover most of the regions of Nouvelle Alexandrie. Only Islas de la Libertad, Isles of Caputia, and New Luthoria currently have no ExpresoReg services. Since the decentralization of the network and the corporatization of NAR in 1710 AN, NAR has reorganised its contracting for ExpresoReg, signing regional agreements with regional councils on the designated routes, the number of connections, the fares and the service levels. With the advent of new operators on key parts of the network - Wechua Ferrocarilles and Alduria Railway Company - NAR has been expanding its services on other parts, allowing for more density and creating new connections.
ExpresoReg services rely in large part on subsidisation by the taxpayer. On average, about 66% of the cost is borne by the state and regional councils, with only 33% of costs covered by fares. With the expansion of routes, especially following the Federal Infrastructure Plan in 1730 AN, costs have increased.
ExpresoReg trains consist of single or multiple-unit dual-mode rail cars, as well as some E-100-ICs previously used on Interurbanos routes. In terms of total travel, ExpresoReg carried over 417 million passenger in 1738 AN, representing over 38% of total passenger volumes.

ERs crossing regional boundaries
- Enlace de Keltia is a trans-regional service travelling between Santander, Wechua Nation, and Boriquén, utilizing the Keltian Bulk Line.
- Enlace de Alduria is a regional service travelling west-east through Alduria, with shared administration by both Oeste and Este branches of the ER Alduria network.
- Enlace de Wechua is a regional service travelling west-east through Wechua Nation, with shared administration by Chinchaysuyu and Kuntisuyu branches of the ER Wechua network.
- Enlace de Lyrica is a regional service travelling both north-south and west-east through Lyrica, with shared administration by North Lyrica and South Lyrica ER branches.
- ERAV, or ExpresoReg de Alte Velocidad, is a high-speed regional service utilizing the Keltian High Speed line, travelling between Cárdenas, Parap, and Judah. This concept was introduced, experimentally, in 1710 AN It is the only service utilizing HS300 trains, reaching up to 300 km/h.
Lines without ER service
The railway networks of Islas de la Libertad, Isles of Caputia, and New Luthoria currently lack ER services, utilising only Interurbanos services. There are special fare conditions, with no compulsory reservation and no extra charge, making them functionally the same as ERs.
