The Emperor Cup (currently known as the Vuurtoren Emperor Cup for sponsorship reasons) is the annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Sanpanese Football. It is organised by SSR.
Foreign clubs
There is a team called Zweigen Taratoro Batavia participating from the Benjamin Islands, a small disputed island. Other than that, all lands are within official Sanpanese territory.
Format
The format has reached its new shape as of 2023. Accordingly, all teams from Sanpo Rigu can participate in the tournament. However, although the first four places out of the 20 quotas of the Amateur league are guaranteed, the second round takes place, where the averages and points of the teams that finish fifth are evaluated.
Rules
- In the first two rounds of the competition. If a game is drawn at the end of 90 minutes, a replay shall be held a week after the game was played on the next Tuesday or Wednesday. The replay rule from the 3rd Round does not apply.
- If a replay is drawn after 90 minutes, the game shall go to a period of 30 minutes extra time, made up of two 15 minute halves, if still tied after extra time, the match will go to penalties.
