Domnamuv, in full Dàlqonuvkutij Qē'š Bàšet Òtser Ffsònmentffelteq Òtser Kàmsonmen Delm Dàltei Delm Dòmnamuv, formally the Decentralised Democratic Socialist Republic of the Land of Domnàmuv, is a landlocked country located around Lake Rodinia in the west of Keltia. Its inhabitants had for a few centuries lived in rudimentary tribal nomadic systems, but in recent years have come together under the leadership of Rex Angua the Wise. Most tribes come from around the Rodinian area, although the Kanàst tribe, where Rex Angua comes from, comes from caves near Mt. Lacara.

Etymology

Dòmnamuv is the Domnàvian for "to unify". Rex Angua originally proposed the name of Kanàst, but the Suràt Delm Nahèn, the council of elders, voted for the name Dòmnamuv.

History

Tribes

There were originally eleven tribes around Lake Rodinia, three around the northeast hills, two further south along the Rodinia River, and one close to Mount Lacara. The eleven tribes are known as Zèketfva, the three as Slirtt, two as Zwatt, and the Kanàst tribe is referred to as Icjattmènt, "the Supreme".

The Zèketfva are made up of Tëanàkva, Mailìza, Lhusìja, Es, Ròüroü, Affìna, Àleqs, Llèqusiji, Sdèffaniji, Làma, and Qètiji. The Slirtt are made of the coalition of Èmba, Zùfo, and Fjüèll. The Zvatt are the two historically marginalised tribes of Ksèmksijs and Pìroijitd.

Tribes originated as groupings of small villages made up of 50-60 people. These villages were self-sufficient, having a permanent settlement known as the Danàg, and temporary camps near the Danàg. The Danàg housed all the historical and scientific texts of the village, and was permanently inhabited by the Elder and the Scholar, and an additional three guards on rotation. The bulk of the village lived in the outer temporary camps, which through hunter-gathering methods provided a source of food. Food was often eaten in large feasts every ten days, when the camps would come into the Danàg for a rest day.

Some villages found that bartering with nearby villages brought them more resources with which to advance their society, and began making trading networks. Eventually the Elders of each village began grouping into small clusters to further their collective villages. Some of these clusters then formed into further clusters with each other, and further until a large Tribe would form. Tribes would have a tribal Danàg where all knowledge would be stored, but hunting and gathering was considered the responsibility of individual villages. Laws, resource management, and the structuring of new villages, were all the role of the Tribe's Suràt to deal with. As such, it was not uncommon for villages on the outskirts of a Tribe to intermix with nearby villages of Tribes, blurring the line between different genetic makeups, but the central territories near the Tribal Danàg often remained of one blood.

In the Zèketfva, Tribes kept a non-agression policy, respecting each others' land claims, but trying not to step on each others' toes. However, in the Slirtt, Tribes worked cooperatively, keeping their cultural identity but attempting to further the interests of all Tribes. The Zvatt rarely interacted with each other due to being on opposing sides of the River.

eKanàst Conquest

Main article: eKanàst Conquest

Circa 10 years prior to the Conquest, the Ksèmksijs and Pìroijitd tribes were beginning a migration north towards Lake Rodinia. This sudden influx of people caused mild chaos in the villages on their migration path, leading to Rex Tanàka the Stronghearted of Tëanàkva to attack Es. Lhusìja stepped in and began an offensive towards southern Tëanàkva, mobilising 20 members of each village towards war. However, eLhusìja living in Affìna felt worried about the actions that neighbouring Es might take to force an eLhusìja halt, prompting Affìna to publicly denounce the actions of Lhusìja. With the most powerful Zèketfva in a compicated turmoil, Rex Angua the Wise of Kanàst decided to go through and force the weaker tribes to fall tribute to him, attacking in secret while keeping the subjugated Tribes as puppets. In a series of strategically brilliant attacks, the Zèketfva and Zvatt were taken under full control of the Kanàst. The Slirtt voluntarily became part of the federation on the conditions they get greater priority in the Gèrssurat, which Rex Angua the Wise accepted.

Unification

The unification took a few years to happen, and it was marked by intense debates between Tribes. The negotiations ended up with an indeterminate number of tiers of government, each one with only jurisdiction over the tier of government below it. Actions made by the highest tier run down to the next tier which runs down to the next tier, and so on, until the villages have laws from all the tiers above.

Modern Times

The current territorial extent of Dòmnamuv is the Zèketzva historical land claims, as well as a small area around Mt. Lacara.

Culture and Religion

Domnàvian religion is a form of natural worship. Mt. Lacara, Lake Rodinia, and the sky are the three Major Deities of the religion, although Mt. Lacaran worship was added in by the Kanàst.

Military

There is no formal military of Dòmnamuv. Instead, each Tribe may choose to mobilise their own villages, with Rex Angua the Wise having no power over such feats.
