Dalen (Norse for "the valley") is name used in Normark for the Bassarid-occupied territory of Jangsong. The area has a long Norse history, and is often indicated on Norse maps as a Norse bailiwick under foreign occupation. The Norse government has every intention to regain the land at the earliest convenient opportunity. On 11.IV.1717, the Nordhær began the Liberation of Dalen. This campaign resulted in the destruction of the original settlement and its replacement with a cantonment of the Nordhær and an adjacent frontier settlement established in XIV.1721 AN.
