County Tara (Celtican: Contae Teamhair) is a county of the Kingdom of Riskai in Northern Feanoria. Established in 1723 AN, it is named after the city of Tara in the east of the county.
History
Founded circa 1503 AN, the city of Tara was the capital of the Kingdom of Celtica (subsequently the Eternal Realm of Dún Gail Dara), a dependency of Stormark. In 1555 AN, the quasi-independence of Dún Gail Dara was suppressed and the majority of the present-day county became part of the Storish region of Sólareyjar, with the exception of the Antican region of New Brannum in the south. The area remained under Storish rule until the final collapse of that empire in 1685 AN.
The historic county was re-established under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Riskai, a constituent member of the Three Kingdoms, in 1723 AN.
