Committee on Government Affairs (Uppmanland)
The Committee on Government Affairs (Uppmanland) is a committee of the Storting and the de facto executive government of Uppmanland. It consists of 19 members elected by the Storting and chaired by the Chancellor (Uppmanlandic: rådman). The Chancellor may by delegation from the Storting assign ministerial portfolios to the members of the committee, but such decisions, as well as most other decisions by the committee, can be overridden by the Storting. Unlike most committees in the Storting, the membership of the committee does not reflect the partisan composition of the Storting. Instead, only the governing majority is represented. It is also common for holders of various portfolios to also be the chairperson of the corresponding Storting committee.
Composition 1760–1764
The current Chancellor Lisa Andersdotter was elected by the Storting on 1.XV.1758. The 1760-1764 committee consists of the Nazarene Democratic Union, League of Agrarian Voters, Dark Berry Islands Party and the Amalandic Voters Association. It holds a majority of 248 seats in the Storting.
