A Gallantry Medal is a recognition that is awarded to an individual, by His Royal Majesty, in recognition of an act of bravery on their part while in the service of the Royal Army or the Royal Navy. The current medals of this type awarded within the Kingdom are listed below in order of precedence (within this category). Gallantry Medals are the highest decorations or medals within the Gotzborg System of Honours.
