Carlos Eduardo Mendez Villanueva (born 22.X.1700 AN) is a New Alexandrian politician and structural engineer serving as Mayor of Cárdenas since 1747 AN. He previously served as the sole Federal Humanist Party Deputy representing the Federal Capital District in the Federal Assembly of Nouvelle Alexandrie from 1744 AN to 1747 AN. First elected in a special election following the Soucy corruption scandal, Mendez won re-election in 1749 AN with 54.3% of the vote, campaigning on his record of implementing transparent procurement systems and completing major infrastructure projects that had stalled during the corruption crisis.
