Benacian Union v Imperial Republic of Shireroth [1731 AN] was a case decided by the MTO Court. In 1674 AN, representatives of the Benacia Command of the Raspur Pact entered into an international agreement, the Protocols of Erudition, with the Emirate of Sathrati. The Protocols responded to chaos following the Kalirion Fracture and engaged the Black Legions to stabilize Sathrati.
In 1730 AN, Shireroth, of which Sathrati is an imperial dominion, refused to renegotiate the Protocols of Erudition and denounced them as an avenue for foreign influence to undermine its sovereignty. The Benacian Union petitioned the court to order Shireroth to enter into renegotiations of the Protocols and uphold Sathrati's obligations under the agreement.
The case was resolved when the MTO Court held that the Benacian Union had no standing to pursue its petition and an appropriate party would be the Raspur Pact.
