Bansfel
Bansfel is a bailiwick of the Sovereign Confederation. It's name likely derives from "Bank's Fields", once the largest privately owned plantation on the White Elwynn before it was sacked during the Goldshirean Civil War. In 1714, the Honorable Company began investing in construction of a settlement on the bank near the Elwynnese border which would develop into the town of Spännezar. The town grew substantially in 1726 after the opening ClaspKhan, an industrial park set to produce a large share of the Benacian Union's buttons, buckles, and other affordable fasteners.
Soon after the formalization of Spännezar's status within the bailiwick and the rise of the ClaspKhan, Bansfel witnessed another dramatic demographic shift due to the Benacian Relief and Works Agency. Between 1728 and 1730 alone, an estimated 2.5 million laborers arrived in Bansfel's northern river ports through the agency's programs, fundamentally reshaping the region's social and economic landscape which led to the rushed organization of a city government around ClaspKhan. The city is now known as Spannezar.
In 1712, the population was 377,494
