Amaru Vilca Rimachi, 2nd Duke of Salcedo and Count of Choquequirao (b. 9.V.1695 AN, d. 20.VIII.1755 AN), was a New Alexandrian nobleman of the Wechua Nation and the second head of the House of Vilca. He was the eldest son of Rawa Vilca, the soldier and statesman who founded the house, and of Chaska Rimachi, Duchess of Salcedo.
Amaru succeeded his father in the dukedom of Salcedo on the latter's death in 1753 AN, and held the title and its grandeeship for only a short time before his own death in 1755 AN. He was succeeded as 3rd Duke by his son, Huamán Vilca. He married Sisa Mamani, who became Duchess of Salcedo.[1]
