The ruling party headed by president Esra Ketema Lampa increased its majority to 368 seats, for the first time gaining a supermajority in the Lhusan Nasyonal. The united opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, increased its popular vote but decreased its share, and also lost nine seats. Several independent media outlets reported about suspected vote buying, especially in countryside constituencies.
