1751 restoration of the Lanzerwald Republic

The 1751 restoration of the Lanzerwald Republic was an event that followed the 1751 military coup in the Confoederatio Aemilia. It embodied the transformation of the Confoederatio Aemilia into a restored Lanzerwald Republic, which sees itself as a continuation of the Confoederatio Aemilia, United Principalities of Cibola, Sankt Ludwigshafen, previous Lanzerwald republics and the Principality of Walstadt. As part of the process, a centralisation effort took place, in which sovereignty was taken away from the cities and placed in the hands of the Volksrat, the national parliament seating in Volksburg. Thanks to mediation, and threats of invasion, from Mondo, the military coup and restoration took place without the loss of lives.
