's Koningenwaarder Courant
Motto De krant van waarde
Formation 1592 AN

The 's Koningenwaarder Courant was re-established in 1661 AN, in what was then the Transbatavian Free State on the eve of the establishment of the United Batavian States. The newspaper played a crucial role in fuelling Batavian patriotism. When the revival of Batavia became a reality in 1669 AN, the newspaper's headquarters moved to the capital, 's Koningenwaarde.

In 1592 AN, the first newspapers appeared under the name 's Koningenwaarder Courant. These articles can still be found in the Sankt-Sisera Museum. Later the name changed to Algemeene Courant (Common Tongue: General Paper), which appeared on a blog. Unfortunately, this blog is no longer available and the articles have been lost. Since 1752 AN, the newspaper has also been published in Common Tongue.
