Emilia Antoinette is the princess of the Principality of the City and Country of Taktwinkel, she is the first person to rule the principality. She was born in 1699 as Emilia Antoinette de la Rochelle in Taktwinkel, then still a town in Sankt Ludwigshafen. She had a father of Alexandrian descent, and a mother of Saxon descent. Her parents were wealthy businesspeople who had a chateau that produced high end carbonated wines. Before creating and assuming the throne of Taktwinkel, Emilia Antoinette was a socialite and participated in beauty contests in Taktwinkel and the rest of Sankt Ludwigshafen, many of which were won by her. During the slow demise of Sankt Ludwigshafen under the Slight Reform Party, Emilia Antoinette started advocating for the independence of Taktwinkel. While she first advocated for the creation of a republic, her opponents tried to make fun of her by calling her a little princess because of her focus on beauty and aesthetics, and her followers adopted this. On 10.XI.1723, a referendum in the city confirmed the independence and the reign of Emilia Antoinette as princess. She was crowned two days later, on 12.XI.1723. Princess Emilia Antoinette made it a point to travel to the Mondosphere soon after her coronation, to seek assistence from Mondo in keeping her newly formed nation safe from all the dangers that lurked in the Lanzerwald.
