History
The first combat service awards were introduced during Tom M. Biffo's tenure as Defense minister and general of the army in the mid 1500s.
Grades
The Combat Service Medal is awarded by the Emperor in their capacity as Grand Commander of the Natopian Defense Force. The Combat Service Medal is given to Defense Force members in honor of satisfactory participation in the active defense of Natopia or its allies.
White Sword of Honor
The White Sword of Honor is a distinction given to recipients of the Combat Service Medal who have performed above and beyond the call of duty, been injured in active duty, served in many campaigns, or contributed directly to the victorious circumstances. The White Sword of Honor ranks between the Order of the Yoshi and Order of the Palette in Natopia's honor protocol; however the Combat Service Award has a lower protocol rank as it is more commonly awarded.
