Arkadius IV, also known as Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy (1642 AN), is King of Batavia since 1669 AN. He returned to Batavia in 1666 AN and played the organ of the Cathedral of 's Koningenwaarde. Soon he re-established the Conservative Monarchist Party (which had dominated politics during most of the Second Kingdom) and entered the political arena. After the elections, he obtained an absolute majority in the House of Commons. In cooperation with the Ultraroyalists and decisive action, he succeeded in bringing about major reforms. This led to his accession to the throne in 1669 AN.

Arkadius is a descendant from the House of Vinandy, who already provided three kings and a queen for the Batavian throne.
