James I (James William Henry; 8 January 1913 – 16 July 1946) was King of Victoria from 7th August 1940 until his untimely death at the age of 33 in 1946. His reign was so short and of such little significance that no new era was named after him, and it carried on being known as the Edwardian era. Due to the shy nature and the age of His Majesty, he was given the nickname, 'James the Squire'.
King James is the only Victorian Monarch never to have married or have children.
