François Yohannes is a Taesongean-born former-footballer who last played for Biulya äqi Jedu FC in Craitland, with whom he spent the entirety of his career.
Career
Club
Although born in Taesong, Yohannes began his career aged 21 by signing with Craitish League 1 side Biulya äqi Jedu FC ahead of the club's inaugural season in 2003. After being given the number 12, Yohannes was used primarily as a back-up centre-back behind Will Jonsen and Zyx Isrdlvarien in his first few seasons as the side struggled competitively. Ahead of the 2006 season, Yohannes switched to wear number 19, with new signing Jon-Jan Jónsen taking the 12 jersey, and became a more regular starter. BäJ continued to under-perform up until 2009, where they finished third in the league and won their first King's Cup, as Yohannes played an important part in the team's defence.
BäJ acquired Hurmudan defender Ketil av Silmahamnum in the summer of 2010, and Yohannes returned to being utilised more as a squad player in a rotation system from 2011 onward. Despite losing his starting position, Yohannes' flexibility helped his supporting role at BäJ, and he played a number of matches in each of the subsequent seasons as the club went through its most successful period. A second cup win in 2014 was followed by an unprecedented treble the following year as the club won a first league title, the WMFA Champions' League and FMF Champions' League, with Yohannes announcing his retirement in the summer of 2015 at the age of 34 after 13 seasons in Biulya.
