Sayaffallan Royal League
The Sayaffallan Royal League, or SRL, is the professional soccer body and the highest level of competition for soccer within Sayaffallah. It is governed by a body of 12 commissioners who meet four times a year to discuss matters pertaining to the hosting of the national championship match, regulations on doping and oversight of the testing agency, sponsorships and advertising as well as the operations of the sport on a national level. Presently there are 20 teams in the SRL scattered across Sayaffallah.
History
The SRL was founded by Sir Hubert Regini in 1760 as a way of regulating the gentleman's sport of soccer and ensuring that the sport never devolved into a common man's sport. However over the years the sport grew in popularity and very much so became a common man's sport and the SRL was changed to its present format of a twelve man commission running its operations in the year 1890 and soon established its formal headquarters in Chopras where it remains today on a sprawling estate. The SRL Headquarters provides accommodations for its commission while in session and also has several soccer practice pitches on the sprawling grounds of its estate which is an oceanfront estate.

Regulatory Commission
The Regulatory Commission reports directly to the SRL and is responsible for compliance with doping and sportsmanship regulations and is the body that hires, trains and retires referees from its games. The Regulatory Commission consists of a federation of 300 members all responsible for day to day operations and for monitoring compliance on all teams. In addition they are also responsible for the ground work leading up to the hosting of the national championship game which typically is played in the capital city stadium. Beyond this they have an obligation to assemble the National Team of Sayaffallah consisting of the best players from all twenty teams and ensure they are prepared for international competitions. The Regulatory Commission is the primary point of contact for all international teams and inquiries while the SRL handles all business related inquiries such as advertising and sponsorship agreements.
