The flag of Maremedres is sky blue in the upper half with a gold rising sun, and the lower half is blue with three horizontal wavy white stripes to represent the Northern Sea. Sky blue is the provincial colour, while the eleven rays of the sun represent the eleven ethnic groups in Gerenia.
The flag first adopted in 2012 had horizontal stripes in the lower half, and a yellow sun. The design was "improved" in 2013 and is the one currently in used. The flag ratio was changed from 27:40 to 4:7.
