Parameters

  • fullname – The nation's full official name, including formal style (e.g. "Most Serene Republic of..."). Translations may be added on a new line.
  • commonname – The nation's short common name. Used to generate labels for the flag and coat of arms links (e.g. "Flag of commonname").
  • status – Current status of the nation (e.g. "Active", "Inactive", "Defunct", "Merged"). Displayed in italics below the nation name. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • flag – File name for the national flag image (e.g. File:Example Flag.svg). Displayed at 125px width by default; override with flagwidth. If omitted, the flag cell is hidden gracefully. If both flag and coa are omitted, the entire image row is hidden.
  • coa – File name for the coat of arms image (e.g. File:Example CoA.svg). Displayed at 85px width by default; override with coawidth. If omitted, the coat of arms cell is hidden gracefully.
  • motto – The national motto.
  • anthem – The national anthem. Links to List of national anthems.
  • map – File name for the nation's location map. Displayed at 250px width.
  • mapversions – MCS map version(s) the claim appears on. Links to the map versions thread on the forum.
  • capital – The national capital. Wikilink recommended (e.g. [[City Name]]).
  • largecity – The largest city, if different from the capital. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • seat1title – Label for the first government seat (e.g. "Administrative capital", "Judicial capital"). Defaults to "Seat of government" if left blank while seat1 is filled.
  • seat1 – The first government seat. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • seat2title – Label for the second government seat (e.g. "Legislative capital"). Defaults to "Seat of government" if left blank while seat2 is filled.
  • seat2 – The second government seat. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • lang – Official language(s). Links to Portal:Languages.
  • religion – Official state religion(s), or "None recognised" if secular.
  • demnoun – Demonym as a noun (e.g. "Alexandrian", "Shirerithian").
  • demadj – Demonym as an adjective, displayed as a sub-row under the demonym.
  • govtype – Form of government (e.g. "Constitutional monarchy", "Federal republic"). Links to Form of government.
  • headofstatetitle – Title of the head of state (e.g. "King", "President").
  • headofstate – Name of the current head of state.
  • headofgovernmenttitle – Title of the head of government (e.g. "Prime Minister", "Seneschal"). Only displayed if headofgovernment is filled in.
  • headofgovernment – Name of the current head of government. If left blank, the entire row is hidden.
  • legislature – Name of the legislature or legislative body. Multiple chambers can be listed on separate lines.
  • estdate – Date of establishment or founding, typically in AN format.
  • founded_by – Person or group that founded the nation. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • area – Total land area of the nation.
  • pop – Simulated population figure. Links to List of countries by population.
  • activepop – Number of active real-life participants. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • gdpGross domestic product. Row is hidden if left blank.
  • currency – National currency. Links to List of circulating currencies.
  • calendar – Calendar system in use. Links to Portal:Calendars.
  • timezone – Time zone(s), expressed as offsets from CMT. Multiple zones can be listed on separate lines.
  • electricity – Mains electricity standard (e.g. "230V–50Hz").
  • drives_on – Side of the road driven on ("Left" or "Right"). Links to List of left- and right-hand traffic.
  • gauge – Railway track gauge (e.g. "Standard").
  • site – URL or link to the nation's official website, if any.
  • forum – Name or link to the nation's forum or subforum.
  • animal – National animal.
  • food – National food.
  • drink – National drink.
  • tree – National tree.
  • abbrev – Standard FMF abbreviation for the nation (e.g. "NAX", "MER", "CRA").

Hidden optional parameters

These parameters are not in the blank example but are accepted by the template:

  • flagwidth – Overrides the default flag display width of 125px.
  • coawidth – Overrides the default coat of arms display width of 85px.
