Vegno Aeronautica S.p.A., commonly known as Vegno Aeronautica or simply VA, is a Vegnese aerospace manufacturer headquartered in Cossa. Founded in 1709 AN as Officine Aeronautiche di Cossa, the company rebranded following its 1724 AN restructuring and has since grown into one of the largest commercial aircraft manufacturers on Micras, competing primarily with Javelin Industries of Nouvelle Alexandrie (among many others). Vegno Aeronautica operates production facilities in Cossa and Mhazar, with component partnerships in Nouvelle Alexandrie and Oportia. The company employs 5,800 workers and reported revenues of 6.4 billion Rino in 1751 AN.
Vegno Aeronautica has delivered over 680 aircraft to 34 operators across Micras since 1724 AN, with an order backlog of 245 aircraft valued at approximately 42 billion Rino as of I.1752 AN. The company's VA-320 family has accumulated 18 million flight hours without a hull loss attributable to design or manufacturing defects. VA aircraft feature standardized cockpit configurations across all models, allowing pilots to transition between aircraft types with abbreviated training programs averaging 11 days compared to the industry standard of 25 days. The manufacturer maintains 16 authorized service centers worldwide, guaranteeing parts availability within 48 hours to any operator and offering fixed-price maintenance contracts that have reduced airline operating costs by an average of 8% compared to competitor fleets.
