Eric Reiner Jost (b. 1672 AN, d. 1751 AN) was an Aerlan Field Marshall who served as Inspector-General of the Grand Army of Aerla. He was promoted to the post after the former Inspector-General, the elderly Generalmæjor Allen McMahon, was forced into retirement following the resignation of Henry Cassian. Called the "Shëkamarshall" due to his aristocratic upbringing, he proved invaluable in the organization and planning of the nation's army. His expertise in organization, logistics, and discipline led to him being retained by three presidential administrations, in contrast to many of his colleagues.

Commissioned into the GAR as a Generalolberz, he was promoted to Field Marshall in 1717 AN. Jost would hold the position of Inspector-General of the Armed Forces for 30 years. Jost led Aerlan forces during the Vizia Campaign, where his skills led to a quick and relatively bloodless conquest of the border region against the forces of the Ghul Confederation. After returning home, he would continue his responsibilities as Inspector-General until his death.

Jost would pass away in 1751 AN at the age of 79 after suffering a heart attack in his sleep. He was given an elaborate state funeral in Noursala and buried at the Noursala National Cemetery. At his funeral, Secretary of Defense Samuel Bapst stated "Aerla's military would be nothing without Field Marshall Jost."
