History
The Imperial Constancian Marines trace their ancestry to the Merarhia Pezonauton (Marine Division) of the Imperial Constancian Army (Konstantinanoú Stratoú).
With its foundation in 1738 AN, the Imperial Constancian Marines was constituted as a corps of the combat arm of the Imperial Constancian Army.
Following the standing up of the marines as a corps in their own right, the 4th Syntagma was reconstituted as a marine brigade (Taxiarhia Pezonavton). No-longer a cadre regiment for the disbanded marine division, the 4th Marine Brigade would become a permanent operational unit with a Raspur Pact compliant maximum established strength of 7,200 men.
The first major deployment of the reorganised corps would occur in the seventh month of 1749 AN when it joined the Allied Mission in Eastern Apollonia, Hurmu & Lyrica at Huyenkula, replacing the 1662nd Modan Brigade.
