Emilio Acaran, is an Alduria-Wechua philosopher, politician, and biologist. He wrote the popular Essays on Liberty together with Matias Gustierrez and Francesco Patrallez. He has also served as a member of the Cortes Federales from 1693 AN onwards, as a member of the Federal Humanist Party. He is known for his Humanist ideology, support of Federalism, and his love of nature. He also teaches biology at the University of Cárdenas.

A Cárdenas Metro station was renamed in his honour in 1707 AN alongside Gustierrez.

He was appointed Special Advisor on the Environment and Chairman of the Rodinia River Authority in 1739 AN during the Administration of Premier Juan Pablo Jimenez. He died at the impressive age of 102 in 1746 AN, the last of the three original philosophers and proponents of the Proclamation of Punta Santiago.
