The Embers

The The Embers is an international rugby league Test match series contested between Mercury and Tellia. The competition was named after a newspaper headline asking whether the series would "keep the embers of international rugby league burning" following the dormancy of the FMRL. The two teams agreed to hold the inaugural edition as the two surviving national teams with professional leagues.
