The Republic of Matamoros is a government-in-exile under the "perpetual tutelage" of the Imperial Federation looking to restore the territories of the former State of Matamoros in the Anahuaco Empire.
Establishment
On 9 Kuspor, 1743 AN, Santiago Alguacil met with a group of Ralgonese bureaucrats and Anahuacano leaders in the Green to quietly form the provisional government of the Republic of Matamoros and begin drafting a constitution for the new nation. By 18 Gevraquun the Provisional Government of the Republic of Matamoros had been established.
