Originally envisaged in 1716 AN as a "diplomatic gift" from Mondo to the Benacian Union for facilitating his introduction into the Raspur Pact, the Benacian Gravship Dominion would, under the constant interference of Benacian commissioners appointed to supervise the construction at the Mondoworks, diverge radically from its original Gravnought template, becoming a wholly original beast. Indeed the last commonalities were said to be the gravimetric inversion rig at the core of the vessel.
