The Corps of Assurers is the local city police of Chryse, and serves as the primary law enforcement agency in the city. The Corps of Assurers is responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and protecting the lives and property of the city's meritorious subjects. The Corps of Assurers is a highly organised and well-trained force, with a strict code of discipline and a commitment to serving the government of Chryse.

The Corps of Assurers is led by a Superintendent Chief Auditor, who is appointed by the Urban Prefect of the city. The Superintendent Chief Auditor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Corps of Assurers, including the supervision of all officers, the development of policies and procedures, and the implementation of programmes to improve public safety.

The Corps of Assurers is organised into Brigades, each responsible for specific functions within the city. For example, the Assurance Brigade is responsible for responding to calls for service, maintaining public order, and conducting investigations into criminal activity. The Audit Brigade is responsible for conducting more complex investigations, such as those involving organized crime or high-level corruption, and the conducting of an annual audit of five percent of the subject population of the city, utilising data authorised for release from the Benacian Censorate and the Commission for the Panopticon. The Administrative Services Brigade provides administrative and logistical support to the assurance and audit arms of the Corps, including the management of evidence and property.

In order to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, the Corps of Assurers has a rigorous recruitment and training process. Prospective assurers must pass a comprehensive background check, a physical fitness test, and a series of written and oral exams. Upon being hired, assurers must complete a rigorous training program, which includes both classroom instruction and hands-on experience.

The Corps of Assurers reports to the Directorate of the Urban Prefecture and in turn to the Commission for Internal Affairs, and must cooperate with the other law enforcement agencies of the Union-State when policing subjects. In the event of a major crime or disaster, the Corps of Assurers may call upon the resources of other law enforcement agencies, such as the Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Cudgels or the Commission for the Panopticon, to assist in the investigation or resolution of the incident.
