Coat of arms of Chryse

The coat of arms of Chryse (officially the coat of arms of Her Imperial Magnificence the Queen and Exarch of Chryse) was adopted in 1687 after the enthronement of Salome as Queen and Exarch of Chryse, when the old coat of arms had fallen out of favour with Viceroy Isor Isor due to its relationship with Verionism and the House of Verion (an ideology and house that Isor disowned the same year).
The coat of arms is blazoned Azure, two dolphins or urinant, that is, there are two golden dolphins diving (head-down) on a blue field. This is the original coat of arms of Chryse before the Verionist take-over. Dolphins are the national animal of the Chryse since its foundation, as dolphins are common in the waters around Chryse. Moreover, Chryse means "golden" in Apollonian/Athlonian, possibly relating to the gold-coloured cliffs along the city's coastline.
