Cherokee
Haraldsstadt, formerly known as Cherokee (until 1623, and 1651–1679) and Saint Harald (1623–1651) is a historical Amokolian city currently in the Frankish Gau of Froyalan, of which it is its capital city.
Historically named for the Cherokee people which dwelled in the area, it has since the 1620s been associated with Froyalanish culture. In 1623, upon the accession of Noah to the White Orchid Throne, it was renamed in honour of Noah's grandfather, High King Harald of Stormark, who for a time, was Duke of Elwynn during the time Elwynn was known as Froyalan.
In 1651, after the Auspicious Occasion, the city was severed from Elwynn to join the Imperial Dominion of Oleslääd. The Froyalanish genocide affected the city greatly, with almost the entire Froyalanish population (at its peak 2 million) being reduced to a few dozen by the time West Amokolia took over the city.
