The People's United Republic of Ald-Arbora, otherwise known as Ald-Arbora or the Republic of Ald-Arbora, is an unrecognised nation in norther Caplona which controls a portion of the Sacovia region. Ald-Arbor was declared an independent nation on 2.IX.1679 by the Caradian Party for Equality and Democracy, who subsequently revised their name to the People's Liberation Front (PLF). The Republic of Ald-Arbor has a shell economy based on authoritarian socialism, though it has yet to start a real economy due to its isolation, unrecognised status, and enmity with Caradia.
The Republic, which had once been unsettled lands filled with nomadic Dochvern tribes, was settled and organised by the arrival first of the L'Ordo Nova dè Santaguiraz Sacovique, who quickly exploited as much of the area's natural resources as possible, then by the CPED. The CPED were welcomed to the region by the Dochvern tribes, being seen as a sign of the end of the oppressiveness inflicted on the Dochvern by Caradia.
Ald-Arbora is unrecognised by Caradia, and has no contact with other nations, and is as such de jure unclaimed territory, though the area is occupied. The nation is considered by the leaders of Caradia to be an insurrectionist cell in Caradian territory (since, though it has no permanent Caradian population, Caradia claims the entire island of Caplona), and as such the Duchy does not respect Ald-Arboran borders or institutions. Furthermore, it views the Ald-Arboran People's Army as a militant terrorist force.
The Caraidan monarch sent a letter to Ald-Arbora on 6.IX.1679, five days after Ald-Arbora declared independence, demanding that the Republic submit to a list of demands from the Caradian government in order to avoid open military conflict. The Republic outright denied the letter on all accounts. There has yet to be a formal reaction from the Caradian government, but a major skirmish between the Ald-Arboran People's Army and the Legions of the Black Flame on 8.IX.1679 seems to indicate an open conflict brewing.
Ald-Arbora was destroyed by a massive cruise missile strike by Caradia on 24.X.1679. 97.4% of its population was killed in the attack, resulting in roughly 51,000 deaths.
